IT'S A....

...GIRL!!!!!

LILA GRACE EPPERSON looked absolutely perfect at today's sonogram, weighing in at 7 oz., and is on schedule to make her arrival in late November! We are all so very excited. A GIRL...I still can't believe it! But most importantly, she's healthy and was quite the mover and shaker this morning. Thank you, LORD for such an amazing blessing! I see lots of shopping for all things girly in my future...FUN!

No doubt about it...It's A Girl!

The Big Reveal...

Well, the day has finally arrived. Travis and I should find out the sex of Baby Epperson #2 on Wednesday!!! Everyone keeps asking me 'what I want' or 'what my gut is telling me' and to tell you the truth, it changes from one day to the next. I think it would be so fun to experience having a daughter, but it would also be really wonderful for Cy to have a little brother so close in age. I literally have 6 preggo friends, who are mommies of boys, that have found out within the past few months that baby #2 is another boy....so boys seem to be the going trend. Either way, Travis and I will, of course, be thrilled! So let's have some fun...any guesses???

Cy's Big Boy Room...

Travis and I had a desk built in our master bedroom that was recently completed. So this week while Travis is off backpacking and enjoying time with his friends in Colorado, I've been working hard setting up the new desk area, cleaning out the guest closet (which, might I add, was full of all the "treasures" that my dear husband hasn't been able to part with...Thankfully, I had no problem getting rid of them!), and boxing up all of the questionable items for Travis to sort through when he returns home. What a job! The fun part of this project has been taking down the old guest room decor and putting out Cy's big boy bedding! I can't believe that our little guy will be transitioning to a twin bed in the next few months. Here's a picture of the bedding that I picked out for him. I wish that this was an actual shot of his completed room, but hopefully we'll be able to accomplish something similar in the near future.

Induction Date Set!!!

It's official, unless Baby Epperson #2 decides to make her/his arrival beforehand, Lila or Jack will be born on November 24th!!! A Thanksgiving Baby! Our family will have one more precious gift to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. The baby's heartbeat was 155-160 bpm at my OB appt this morning, which didn't help much with our efforts to guess the sex. We'll know soon enough...my sonogram is next Wednesday!

Let's Go Swimming!!!

Cy and I have spent lots of time in the pool thus far this summer. We started Mommy & Me swim lessons at Tech this past week and Cy has been learning to blow bubbles, stroke, kick, climb out of the pool and jump right back in. The only drawback to our 10 am swim class is that he has to forgo his morning nap which makes for a pretty grumpy fella by the end of the lesson. All-in-all, for a one-year-old, he is doing great and really likes the water.
Here's Cy enjoying some kiddy pool time at Gran's house.

...And here we are at swim lessons. Thanks, Kagney for snapping a few pictures of us!

What a cutie!!!

As far as Baby #2 is concerned, I have been feeling great and enjoying the increased energy that has accompanied our second trimester. I have loved getting to feel the first flutters of our sweet Lila or Jack the past couple of weeks. According to BabyCenter.com, the baby is measuring 4 inches long & weighing in at about 2.5 ounces...about the size of an apple. Travis and I are in full count-down mode as we are slated to find out the sex of this little nugget in 2 short weeks!!! I am so much more anxious to find out whether or not we will be welcoming a boy or girl this time around than I remember being with Cy...probably because the sex of this baby will most likely determine whether or not our family will be completed with Jack or Lila's arrival.
