Beach Baby!

We just returned from enjoying 5 wonderful days in San Diego with Travis' family. Last week was full of firsts for Cy...his first plane ride, first vacation, and first time at the beach. He did great! The weather in San Diego was fabulous...highs in the low 70's, cloudy a few days, then sunny for our last two days at the beach. We enjoyed fantastic seafood, visited the local aquarium, bummed out on the beach, lunched at the marina, shopped at the Seaport Village and relaxed as much as possible. A fun little side note: Travis and I enjoyed our first vacation together with his family in sunny San Diego, when we began dating 11 years ago!!! Here are several pictures of our California fun.

Lila Grace- 21 weeks...

We were scheduled for another sonogram this morning and the sonographer was able to get some great 4D pictures of our sweet, Lila Grace...despite the fact that she was ever the wiggle worm. Lila is weighing in at 15 oz. & is a very busy little girl...she certainly may keep us on our toes! Here she is at 21 weeks and looking very similar to her big brother in utero.

I've been hard at work on Cy's big boy room. It's still very much a work in progress, but here's what we've got so far.

Lake Tahoe Weekend

Travis and I enjoyed a fabulous, long weekend in Lake Tahoe, Nevada with friends in celebration of Travis' dental school buddy, Chad, and his new bride, Heather's wedding. The scenery was breathtaking and the company fantastic. We spent some time on Friday at Hidden Beach on the North side of Lake Tahoe with the wedding party. Then, Travis and I drove to South Lake Tahoe for lunch and shopping. Saturday was an absolutely HEAVENLY day (& may I add, exactly what the doctor ordered for a mom and pop alone, enjoying some time together sans their one year old son)...Travis and I along with several of our friends enjoyed an amazing massage followed by a day at the Tuscany Spa. We sunbathed, napped in vibrating chairs, lunched on the veranda, and those of us who were not preggers, took advantage of the hot tub and sauna. All in all...it was a glorious day! Thanks, Baby!
The wedding was beautiful and we were ever so grateful to Chad and Heather for choosing such a gorgeous location for their nuptials...providing the perfect weekend getaway!

4th of July Fun...

We spent the 4th of July weekend in Buda (just south of Austin) for the 2010 Frashier Family Reunion (Trav's paternal grandmother's family). I didn't get many pictures of the actual reunion, but did capture some fun shots of Cy and Ellie enjoying some pool time with their daddies.

I ordered Lila Grace's crib bedding today and just LOVE it!!! Travis has agreed to install wall framing similar to the picture below in her nursery...which will look fantastic! Here are a couple pictures of the bedding and of Lila's first baby gift from her Gran. Cy adores his lovey, 'Pete' (aka...Peter Cottontail), so it is only fitting that Lila have Pete's female counterpart who I think we will affectionately call 'Honey'.
