Snow Day!

8 Months and MoBiLe!!!

Cy will be 8 months old on Wednesday and to celebrate he has worked diligently to perfect his technique and is officially crawling!!! Alert the neighbors! He's checking off all kinds of fun milestones lately. Here are few of his 8 month accomplishments...

~As I previously mentioned, he's crawling & LOVES his newly discovered mobility!

~2 new, shiny teeth up top (E & F)...giving him a grand total of 4!

~Cy can pull up to standing- Travis and I have gotten a kick out of watching him on his video monitor roaming around his crib while he "winds down" for sleep.

~Moves easily from crawling to sitting, & back to crawling...he's a very busy boy these days.

~Loves to blow raspberries

~Is working on waving bye-bye...he is so intrigued by opening and closing his hand, primarily his left.

~Momma & Cy are learning baby sign language together.

~Can hold a sippy cup and bottle by himself...it's messy, but he can do it!

A Mother's Prayer

Lord, give me strength just for today

To lead my children in your way;

Oh, give me wisdom, Lord, and grace

To show to them your precious face!

And help me, Lord, to teach them, too,

The things of Christ so rich and true,

Just let them see in me, dear Lord,

Your holiness in life and word.

Keep me from sinning with my tongue,

From harsh, quick words that might have stung

Their tender hearts that trust me so

And watch to see which way I go.

Dear Father, keep my thoughts so pure

That they will always know for sure

My Lord has lead me all the way,

Lord, grant my prayer just for today.

Sick Nugget...

Our little man recently came down with his first cold...poor baby!!! It's a general consensus among the Epperson household that snotty noses & low grade fevers are absolutely no fun! Cy, however, is determined not to let a case of the sniffles slow him down...not when we are oh, so close to crawling.

Fun with Mimi & Joey...

Cy & I enjoyed a fun afternoon with Mimi and Joey today. Both Cy and Joey are pulling up and on the verge of crawling which made for very busy playtime. Cy is 7 1/2 months, Joey is 7 months....and gaining more and more independence by the day!

Nothing Runs Like a Deere...

Cy enjoyed his first 2 night sleepover with Gramps and Mimi (sans Mom) in Ackerly this week and was treated to his very first tractor ride! A special sight for this farmer's daughter, and no doubt, the first of many adventures with Gramps.
