Our pretty princess marched past the 21 month mark a few days ago! I can't believe that I'm starting to plan her 2nd birthday party!!! This sweet girl is just a riot & such a joy, with a million dollar smile that completely melts our hearts! Here's what Lila Grace is up to at 21 months.
She loves to sing. Here favorite tunes are "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star", "Itsy Bitsy Spider", "Jesus Loves Me", & "Zacchaeus". Her most recent rendition of "Jesus Loves Me" went a little something like this...
"Jesus loves me.
This I know.
For the Bible tells me so
...to infinity & beyond."
She then proceeded into the chorus without skipping a beat...Silly girl!
A few of her favorite things include: Abby & Elmo, Disney princesses, babies, purses, lip gloss, & puppies.
She has started to love playing dress up, and wearing twirly skirts, or anything with princesses on it.
Lila is wearing size 2T clothes, size 6 shoes, and size 4 diapers
Our big girl is a GREAT sleeper!!! She usually wakes (or has to be woken up) between 9:30 & 10! Both she and Cy begin their afternoon naps around 1:30 or 2 and she usually sleeps about 2 hours. Lila's bedtime is at 8 pm.
She is quite the talker (as previously mentioned). Lila Grace has such a large vocabulary & has started spitting out 6-8 word sentences so quickly, that often times I have to ask Cy to translate. He always knows exactly what she is saying :)
She is running, climbing, rolling side to side, and jumping. Lila and I are taking a Mommy & Me gymnastics class on Monday mornings while her big brother is in his gymnastics class, and she loves it! (Pictures to come)
Favorite foods: yogurt, rice krispie treats, chow mien noodles, chic-fil-a nuggets & fries, lemonade, mac & cheese, green beans, baked potatoes, apples with peanut butter, & bananas.
Taking cue from her big brother, Lila has started asking "Why?" quite a bit. After Cy answers her question for the 2nd or 3rd time, he'll respond in frustration with, "I've already told you why."
Our little lady is very independent. She likes to try to undress & dress herself, put her shoes on, and throw her own trash away. I am told, "Lila do it by myself", many times each day.
She can complete multiple step requests.
Lila can kick a ball, throw a ball overhead, swing a bat, swing in a big swing, and climb up and down stairs.
She talks about things that she likes and dislikes. One thing she really likes right now is provoking her brother by saying the opposite of whatever he's saying.
She's starting to learn her colors & can correctly identify pink and purple.
Lila Grace LOVES popsicles & ice cream!!!
Top picks in the book department include: "Lady Bug Girl", "Where is Baby's Belly Button", Bible stories, and any book with Elmo or puppies.
Both Cy and Lila love to watch our guests leave our house, sit on our front porch, and wave to them as they round our cul-de-sac & drive away....so sweet!!!
