Ellie Kate has ARRIVED!!!

Whew...we've had quite an exciting day! Becky treated me to a fabulous pedicure then we had planned to meet Cassie, who was completing her bi-weekly fetal monitoring, for lunch. However, the doctors were concerned because Cassie's amniotic fluid level had dropped significantly since Monday and Ellie's heart rate was decreasing with mom's contractions. They decided to go ahead and admit Cass, break her water, then see how Ellie would respond to labor. Unfortunately, Ellie's heart rate continued to respond poorly to the contractions...so on April 16th at 7:31 pm., she was delivered via c-section. Ellie Kate Randers made her debut weighing 5 lbs 9 oz and was 18.5 inches long. Both mom and our sweet niece are doing great! Welcome to the world, sweet Ellie!
