Joy to Our World!

How very blessed we are to have a now 7 month old who brings so much joy to our world!!! I feel like I just posted his 6 month report and here we are again. Cy Wesley's cute little personality has really blossomed. He is quite the entertainer....loves attention and knows which facial expressions, sounds and tricks to pull out at just the right time to get smiles and praise from his audience. This boy LOVES his momma...and you'll get no complaint from me! He has such a sweet heart and loves to snuggle- again, much to his mom's delight. He's growing into a little boy so quickly...I don't feel like I can hold him, kiss him, or just sear into my memory all the joy that he is at each special moment enough. Truly...my cup runneth over!!! Here are a few things that Cy is doing at 7 months:

• He's prepping to crawl! Cy can wriggle and army crawl to get to his desired destination and he pulls his left knee beneath him pretty well.
• Loves to roll around...belly to back, back to belly, left, right- he can do it all!
• Is starting to pull up in his crib. Lower mattress...check! He hasn't figured out how to put his feet beneath him just yet, but he pulls himself up with his strong arms and talks and smiles at momma through the crib slats.
• Is wearing Size 3 Diapers...it was hard for mom to say goodbye to Swaddlers!
• LLLOOOOVVVVEEESSS his jumperoo!!! Unquestionably, one of our best purchases to date. When mom needs free hands, the jumperoo paired with a Baby Einstein DVD is my go-to!
• His fingers are permenant residents of his mouth these days.
• Has graduated to some pretty interesting combinations of Stage 2 baby foods. Oatmeal/Peach/Mango, Apples/Sweet Potatoes, Carrots/Peas/Spinach...yum!
• This is what his daily schedule looks like:

~ 7:00-7:30 am: Wake-up, bottle, cereal w/ fruit

~ 9:00-9:30 am: Morning Nap, when wakes...bottle, remaining cereal & fruit

~ 12:00-1:00 pm: Afternoon Nap, when wakes...bottle

~ 3:30-4:00 pm: Short Nap Late Afternoon Nap (30-45 min)

~ 5:00-5:30 pm: Cereal, fruit, veggies

~ 6:00 pm: Bath, bottle, prep for bed (lotion, jammies, read books, listen to lullabies)

~7:00-7:30 pm: Asleep

• Favorite books: "Chugga-Chugga, Choo-Choo", "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", "I See a Monster".
• Has mastered his sippy cup & likes to munch on "Mum,Mums" when mom and dad are eating. He is also sitting up well in his shopping cart/highchair cover which has made grocery shopping & eating out more enjoyable for us all.

The next month promises more firsts and fun! We love you, Cy!!!
