3/4 Mark...

Can it be true?!? Our little man has reached the 3/4 mark on his way through his first year of life...he's 9 months old!!! These days, Cy is rockin' & rollin'...he's busy checking out the world around him, has become a speedy crawler, loves to peep out windows, pulls up on EVERYTHING & provides more laughter and joy than our hearts can hold! Here are a few fun things that I want to remember about Cy at 9 months...

Like, I said....he has perfected his technique and is a quick little cruiser! Definitely keeps Mom on her toes.

He pulls up on EVERYTHING!!! Throughout the day, he's frequently at my feet trying to pull up on my pant leg...so cute.

Loves his puppies! Hannah is his constant companion. He enjoys chasing her around the room...she, in turn, offers lots of kisses!

Is working with his "pinchers"- is able to pick up puffs with his thumb and index finger.

Enjoys looking out windows, especially if the dogs are playing outside...tapping and kissing the glass all the while.

Has a grand total of 4 teeth...upper and lower centrals.

Boys will be boys! Not surprisingly, Cy can rarely fight the temptation to play in the dirt and ivy that occupy our indoor atrium. I have a sneaking suspicion that this desire will only grow stronger as we move into toddler hood.

We are working on waving "Bye-Bye", but thus far, to no avail. He has however, started giving out kisses which melt my heart.

Greets mom each morning with a great big smile, standing up in his crib. Then together, we spend a few minutes with Papa before he goes off to work.

Cy's 9 month well check is scheduled for March 12th...I'll post his stats then.

I Spy...

Cy loves to peep out our windows, spying all the action going on outdoors and longing for warm Spring days. Hannah shares his fondness for people watching and is usually by his side. What kid doesn't have a soft spot for the feel of cool glass on their lips...I actually enjoy seeing sweet little finger & lip prints on many of our windows. We just love this little guy so much!!!

I'm a Country Boy...

Cy and I spent the past few days in Ackerly with Gramps and Mimi. Of course, Cy loved being doted on by his grands and even got to enjoy a quick play date with his cousin, Hannah. I took lots of pictures this weekend (shocker!!!)...so prepare yourself.

Big Boy Haircut...

Cy had his first big boy haircut today. Well, actually, my sweet friend, Nancy, trimmed the top locks a bit a few months ago, but this was his first full service haircut...clippers and all! Because I didn't expect to have free hands to take pictures with, I neglected to bring the camera, but I did get a few shots of the finished product. Cy behaved beautifully, sitting all by himself on the booster seat, relatively still, for the big event....momma was so proud!

On the Move...

For the past few weeks, my days have been spent keeping an eye out for our little explorer and making sure that his new found mobility doesn't get him into trouble. Long gone are the days of Cy being content to sit on a blanket and play with his favorite toys. He's constantly on the move...and loving every minute of discovering the world that is now accessible to him.

Our Little Foodie...

Thus far, Cy has taken after his momma and papa exhibiting a love for all things edible. He's such a happy little eater....following each bite with an adorable "uuummm". Cy's favs are cereal mixed with fruit and anything teamed with a bit mac & cheese. He's also in the process of mastering feeding himself puffs & yogurt melts.
